A Pirate's Cap......Skull~n~Bones

Here are two versions of the hat:

The stripped one is my first attempt, embroidering the pattern over the stitches in a "v" pattern.

The black one is my second attempt,

embroidering the pattern over the stitches in

an "x" pattern.

I like the way the second one turned out best!

...and I have orders stacking up for the second one too!

Jerry and Cody looking special in their hats....though Cody traded his away to Jerry's brother and now wants one like Jerry's. lol

Yarn: HAT: Caron Simply Soft, Black 9727; and

SKULL~N~BONES: Bernat Super Value Porcelain 8893.

The Grandpa Lap Blanket

Here is the lap blanket that I have designed for my Grandpa Jack.
















At my folks' request, I made this because grandpa gets cold when dining out. The restuarants keep the AC going strong inside when it's really warm outside and sometimes it's just too cold.

Pattern Alterations: I cast on 130 stitches, and went with a seed stitch border/divider lines. The pattern is King Charles Brocade. I did three sets for the corners and the middle panel contains 5 reps of the brocade. :D

The blanket matches the fingerless gloves that I made for him at the beginning of this year. (See earlier post)

Footballs with a Teddy Bear Blanket

This is the blanket I created for Beckett Krieter. I hope he loves it....when he shows up that is! :D

I know mommy (Lisa) likes the Chicago Bears, so this is a tribute to that! Appropriately, I was watching the Bears Game while I was doing all those finishing touches to finish the blanket!

The hat is the same yarn as the blanket although it's difficult to tell by the picture. It also has a blue teddy bear bead on it. :D

Reversible Teddy Bear Blanket and Hospital Hat

Here is the baby blanket and hat for Stephanie and Robert Christensen's little bundle of joy! Baby Christensen is expected in November 2008!

To celebrate this event, I have made a reversible teddy bear baby blanket and hospital hat for for the little darling!
















To match the blanket, I sewed a teddy bear bead on the beanie.

Reversable Airplane Baby Blanket

James and Beth Christensen are expecting a little bundle of joy, a boy, in September 2008.

To celebrate the event, I knitted a little something to go with the baby theme they have selected, Airplanes.















Since I couldn't knit an airplane into the little hat, I attached an airplane bead to it. =^..^=

Fingerless Gloves For Grandpa Wall

Here my Grandpa is wearing the gloves as he smiles for the picture with my Aunt Char.

I started these last evening, finished up late this morning and gave them to him this afternoon!












For a closer view, I am modeling the fingerless gloves I made for my Grandpa! Tris took the picture for me!

Project Dillingham Completed and Delivered!

I gave this to Tanya at her baby shower last Sunday. Her expression was PRICELESS! Apparently she didn't know that I can knit! She was blown away! I loved her reaction! She said, "You're kidding me", like I just handed her the most amazing thing and couldn't believe it!...mouth agape and everything. :D
