Kids Slippers

I made these over the weekend for my kids. They knit up pretty quick on size 8 needles. The pattern only called for one color, but I used two to knit with for a varigated look.
One pair I sewed straight down the bottom, the other pair I sewed close in a "T" fashion. Both look fine, but the straight seam works better for longer feet!
My kids love these!

Something for Me

Once in a while, I will actually make something for myself.
So, here's my slippers. These should keep my feet nice and toasty on my cold floors!
The pattern for these can be found at http://www.craftown.com/knit/pat16.htm
Yarn is worsted weight yarn. I used size 8 needs as I don't have the size 9 the pattern calls for. :)
I finished these in two or three evenings.

More knit hats to United Memorial Hospital!

Although I don't have pictures of the hats I have recently donated to the local hospital, I did want to blog about them!

I donated them on November 4th. I try to knit up between 10-20 before I donate them. If you want to help support my efforts, I accept baby/fingering weight soft yarn donations!

Lisa's Knitted Birthday Presents

Here is Lisa's Prayer Shawl. The pattern is from the book: Knitting into the Mystery by Susan S Izard.

Yarn Used: Carnival and Rainbow Ribbon

Lisa's Prayer Purse. I don't recall where this pattern came from.

Yarn: Rainbow Ribbon

This is Veronica (Me) modeling Lisa's Prayer Shawl and holding her Prayer Purse.

Oh, and did I say I had both these items blessed and prayed over by her Pastor just for her?

Lisa, I hope you had an incredibly Happy Birthday.
